First: Service Description
Sarh service enables individuals who are not affiliated with the Oman Research and Education Network (OMREN) to use some of the network’s services.
Masader: is an Online portal that provides researchers and students with access to various types of sources, electronic books, journals, and information at any time and anywhere.
OMREN Federation: It provides secured and unified access to online resources and services for OMREN members by using their own credentials provided by their organization.
Eduroam (education roaming): Is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows users to easily and securely connect to the internet in educational and research institutions that use the same service, whether inside or outside Oman, using the institution’s identification code and password, without the need for any additional settings.
Mirsal: It is a service provided by OMREN to its members that allow authenticated users to securely and easily send arbitrarily large files to other users.
Shuaa: An electronic database of research, studies, journal articles, abstracts research, and innovation materials that were written in Oman.
Second: Terms and conditions approval
These terms and conditions apply to the relationship between OMREN and any user who has applied to the network to subscribe to Sarh service and acknowledges that he\she has read these terms and conditions carefully, in addition to our privacy policy and any other terms, conditions, and notices elsewhere on this website www.sarh.om , (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) controls your access to and use of this website and the services it provides.
These terms and conditions are subject to change and can be modified at any time, and we will notify you of the change. Your continued or subsequent use of this Website/Services following the posting of such changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes your acceptance of them.
Third: Subscription Period
The subscription is valid for one year from the date of activation of the subscription, subject to renewal via the website
Fourth: Service Cost
The cost of the annual subscription in the service is 60/OMR, and the subscription fees are paid using the electronic payment portal.
Fifth: Subscriber Responsibilities
The user undertakes to protect the confidentiality of the password that was given to him\her and ensure that it isn’t disclosed in any way or shared with any person whatsoever. The subscriber will be fully responsible for all expenses and losses and compensation arising from any use of your username and password
Sixth: Privacy & Policies
The subscriber acknowledges to read and acceptance of the privacy regulations and the policy of using the services of the OMREN that is available on the website: www.omren.om
The subscriber undertakes not to use the account in fraudulent acts that would lead to illegal access to the site, or to use the site system for purposes other than those for which it was intended, or to carry out the business for which it is that may damage or tamper with the information on the site, In this case, the subscriber will be dealt with in accordance with the Anti-IT Crimes Law No. 12/2011
